Voluntary Repossession?
April 26th, 2010 by admin
I am trying to get out of debt. I have a vehicle that I purhcased last August and still have $9,300 left to pay. Kelly Blue Book listed it as worth $8,200 in good condition if I sell it to a private party, and of course much less if I do an auto trade. I have listed it for sale on several sites, and have gotten few inquiries, but no one really interested in buying it. I don’t know what the chances are of me selling it to a private party, and am beginning to wonder if I should go ahead and trade it in. But what I want to know is, would a voluntary repossession be an option that would help me get rid of it easier and quicker? I don’t want to wait several months to a year to get rid of my vehicle. I need to sell it as quickly as possible and purchase a cheaper, more fuel-efficient vehicle. Any ideas?
